Vinylester Resin SP1324E A1
High-performance SP1324E A1 vinylester resin for advanced marine lamination. Thixotropic and pre-accelerated, it offers exceptional resistance to hydrolysis (osmosis), superior mechanical strength, and perfect adhesion for professional boat building and structural repairs.
Vinylester Resin SP1324E A1 represents the top tier of lamination resins for the maritime and composite industries.
Specifically formulated to combine the easy processability of polyesters with the high-end performance of epoxies, the SP1324E A1 is thixotropic (non-sag) and pre-accelerated. It is engineered to create a high-strength chemical barrier, making it the definitive solution for anti-osmosis skin coats and high-load structural laminates where durability is non-negotiable.
✔ Superior Hydrolysis Resistance → The best protection against osmosis and water ingress in hulls.
✔ Enhanced Toughness → High elongation at break to resist cracking and structural fatigue.
✔ Excellent Vertical Hold → Thixotropic properties prevent dripping on vertical surfaces.
✔ Rapid Fiber Saturation → Optimized for quick wetting of glass, carbon, and aramid fibers.
✔ Pre-accelerated Formula → Ensures a consistent and reliable curing cycle for professional workflows.
Type: High-performance vinylester resin
Model: SP1324E A1
Status: Thixotropic and pre-accelerated
Catalysis: MEKP (Liquid catalyst)
Application: High-end marine lamination and structural repairs
🔹 Catalyzation
Requires the addition of 2% catalyst.
➡ In high-temperature environments (>25°C), adjust between 1% and 1.5% (do not go below 1% to ensure full polymerization).
| Resin | Catalyst 2% |
| 1 kg | 20 g |
| 5 kg | 100 g |
| 25 kg | 500 g |
Mix thoroughly for 1-2 minutes until the color and consistency are uniform.
👉 Pro Tip: For the best chemical bond, apply on clean, dry surfaces. If the previous layer has cured for more than 24 hours, light sanding is recommended.
Can be tinted with professional pigment pastes.
Recommended Dosage: 2.5%
Optimized for brush, roller, or professional spray-up systems.
Ideal for manual lamination with Glass Mat (CSM), Woven Roving, and multi-axial technical fabrics.
| Glass Mat | Weight/m² | Resin Needed | Laminate Thickness |
| 300 g/m² | 0.3 kg | 0.75 kg | 0.6 – 0.9 mm |
| 450 g/m² | 0.45 kg | 1.125 kg | 0.9 – 1.2 mm |
| 600 g/m² | 0.6 kg | 1.5 kg | 1.2 – 1.6 mm |
