Description

🚀 Unifiber High-Build Primer Green

Unifiber Primer is a premium-grade, high-build undercoat specifically engineered for marine use. Its unique green formula is designed to create a thick, protective barrier that levels surface irregularities while ensuring a rock-solid bond between the hull and the final antifouling layer.

Main Features

High-Build Formula Excellent filling properties that help smooth out small imperfections, pores, and scratches on the substrate.

Enhanced Adhesion Formulated to anchor deeply into fiberglass (gelcoat) and wooden surfaces, preventing the subsequent paint layers from flaking.

Visual Application Aid The distinct green color acts as a “control layer,” making it easy to see where the primer has been applied and ensuring full coverage of the hull.

Waterproof Protection Provides an additional layer of moisture resistance, helping to preserve the integrity of the hull’s substrate.

🛥 Fields of Application Ideal for:

  • New fiberglass (GRP) hulls after proper degreasing.

  • Bare wooden hulls (as an insulating and filling base).

  • Restoring old hulls where the original gelcoat or paint is worn.

  • Providing a high-contrast base for blue, black, or green antifouling paints.

🛠 Technical Advantages

✔ Great “body” and opacity for fast surface preparation.

✔ Easy to sand if a perfectly smooth finish is required.

✔ Compatible with most self-polishing and hard-matrix antifoulings on the market.

✔ Resistant to the harsh marine environment and temperature changes.

📝 Instructions for Use Preparation

  • Surface must be clean, dry, and free from wax, oil, or salt.

  • On new gelcoat, de-wax thoroughly with a specific solvent and sand lightly (Grit P120-P180). Application

  • Stir the product vigorously before use.

  • Apply 1-2 uniform coats by roller or brush.

  • Respect the minimum and maximum overcoating times before applying the antifouling to ensure a chemical bond. Cleanup

  • Clean tools immediately after use with a synthetic or nitro thinner.

Final Result

A perfectly prepared, high-thickness green base that maximizes the performance and lifespan of your boat’s antifouling system.
