TR-216 Mold Release Wax is one of the most trusted names in the composites industry for mold preparation.
This carnauba-based paste wax is engineered to create an extremely durable barrier between the mold and the part being manufactured. Featuring the “Ultra Flawless” formula, TR-216 minimizes wax build-up and ensures the final part has a perfectly glossy surface. It drastically reduces the risk of parts sticking, even when subjected to high exothermic heat during the curing process.

🔹 Professional Application
Thoroughly clean the mold with a de-greasing solvent.
Apply a thin, even coat of TR-216 Wax using a foam applicator or soft cloth in circular motions.
Allow it to dry for about 5-10 minutes (until a light haze forms).
Buff with a clean microfiber cloth until the maximum shine is achieved.
For New Molds: Repeat the process 3 to 5 times to properly seal the surface pores.
👉 Pro Tip: Wait at least 30-60 minutes between coats. This allows the wax solvents to evaporate completely and the protective film to harden properly.
