TR-104 High-Temp Wax
Premium TR-104 High-Temperature paste release wax (400g) designed for high-exotherm resin systems. This industry-standard wax provides a durable, heat-resistant barrier for polyester, vinylester, and epoxy molds, ensuring easy part release and a high-gloss finish.
The TR-104 High-Temp Release Wax is a high-performance carnauba-based paste wax formulated for professional molders who deal with high temperatures and aggressive resin systems.
Unlike standard waxes, TR-104 is specifically engineered to resist heat-related breakdown during the exothermic reaction of resins. Its balanced blend of high-melting-point carnauba and synthetic waxes creates a tough, thin film that protects the mold surface while providing a flawless release. It is the preferred choice for manufacturing thick structural components or using high-temp curing cycles where standard waxes might fail.
✔ Heat Resistance → Formulated to withstand high exothermic temperatures without melting or smearing.
✔ Maximum Mold Protection → Creates a hard, durable barrier that extends the life of the mold.
✔ Easy Application → Spreads smoothly and buffs easily to a high-gloss, mirror-like shine.
✔ Versatile Compatibility → Works exceptionally well with Polyester, Vinylester, and Epoxy resins.
✔ Consistent Release → Reliable performance across multiple pulls in high-production environments.
Type: High-Temperature solid paste wax
Model: TR-104 High-Temp
Format: 400 g (Tin)
Base: High-grade Carnauba and synthetic polymers
Recommended For: Large hulls, thick structural parts, and high-temp resins.
🔹 Professional Application
Ensure the mold surface is clean and dry.
Apply a thin, even coat of TR-104 Wax using a foam applicator or lint-free cloth.
Allow the wax to haze over (usually 5-15 minutes depending on humidity).
Buff to a high shine using a clean microfiber cloth.
New Molds: Apply at least 5-7 coats, allowing at least 1 hour of “curing” time between coats for maximum safety.
👉 Pro Tip: For complex or brand-new molds, use TR-104 as a base and apply a final layer of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) for 100% security against sticking.
Commercial Shipyards: Molding large boat hulls and thick structural bulkheads.
Industrial Fiberglass: Production of tanks, wind turbine blades, and heavy-duty covers.
Automotive Composites: High-temp carbon fiber or fiberglass molding.
Mold Conditioning: Seasoning new molds for repeated high-volume use.
Tin: 400 g
Safe and effortless de-molding of large or thick parts, maintaining a high-quality finish and protecting your investment in the mold.
