Description

🚀 Solver Universal Primer

Solver Primer is a professional-grade, one-component (1C) universal primer engineered to solve adhesion challenges on boat hulls. It acts as a powerful “bridge” or tie-coat, allowing you to apply new antifouling over old, unknown, or incompatible layers without the risk of peeling or detachment.

Main Features

Universal Tie-Coat The perfect solution when the previous antifouling type is unknown, providing a secure bonding surface for the new coating.

Exceptional Sealing Properties Effectively seals old paint layers, preventing the migration of old biocides and ensuring a clean start for your maintenance.

Multi-Substrate Compatibility Provides excellent anchorage on Fiberglass (GRP), Wood, Steel, and Lead.

Quick-Drying Formula Reduces dry-docking time, allowing for faster overcoating and relaunching.

🛥 Fields of Application Ideal for:

  • Priming bare hulls before the first coat of antifouling.

  • Bridging between different brands or types of antifouling (e.g., Hard Matrix over Self-Polishing).

  • Sealing wooden hulls to prevent moisture absorption.

  • Protective coating for metal keels and underwater hardware.

🛠 Technical Advantages

✔ Prevents “lifting” or bubbling of new paint layers.

✔ High water resistance to protect the substrate from osmosis and corrosion.

✔ Easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray with excellent hiding power.

✔ Remains flexible to accommodate the natural movement of the hull.

📝 Instructions for Use Preparation

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from salt, grease, or loose paint.

  • If applying over old antifouling, pressure wash and lightly sand the surface. Application

  • Stir thoroughly before use.

  • Apply 1-2 uniform coats depending on the porosity of the substrate or the condition of the old paint.

  • Follow the recommended drying intervals before applying the final antifouling coat. Cleanup

  • Clean tools immediately after use with a synthetic or nitro thinner.

Final Result A perfectly prepared and sealed hull, providing a rock-solid foundation for your antifouling and ensuring long-lasting seasonal protection.
