The surface must be perfectly clean, dry, and cool.
Remove all traces of oil, grease, and salt using a heavy-duty degreaser.
Sand lightly to improve mechanical bond and remove any loose rust. Application

Apply by brush, roller, or spray gun.
Apply 2 thin coats rather than one thick coat for a more durable and even finish.
