Imifabi Talc 25kg
Professional Imifabi Talc (Industrial Grade) in a high-capacity 25kg bulk bag. This premium mineral filler is the industry choice for creating easy-to-sand putties, reducing resin shrinkage, and improving the surface finish in large-scale composite and ceramic applications.
Imifabi Talc is a high-purity mineral additive used as a functional filler in the production of resins, plastics, and ceramics. This 25kg industrial format is designed for shipyards, composite manufacturers, and ceramic studios requiring a consistent, high-quality supply.
In the fiberglass and marine industry, it is primarily used to create custom putties and fairing compounds. When mixed with polyester or epoxy resins, it provides a smooth, creamy consistency that is exceptionally easy to spread and, once cured, very easy to sand. Its lamellar structure helps reduce the internal tension and shrinkage of the resin, preventing cracks in thick applications and improving the overall dimensional stability of the part.
✔ Excellent Sandability → Creates fillers that can be sanded quickly with minimal effort.
✔ Shrinkage Reduction → Stabilizes resin during curing, preventing warping or cracking in large volumes.
✔ Smooth Finish → Provides a fine, non-porous surface ideal for high-quality painting or gelcoating.
✔ Chemical Inertness → Does not react with resin catalysts or hardeners, ensuring a stable cure.
✔ Thermal Stability → High resistance to heat, making it suitable for specialized ceramic and industrial uses.
Type: Industrial Hydrated Magnesium Silicate (Talc)
Brand: Imifabi
Appearance: Ultra-fine white/off-white powder
Format: 25 kg Industrial Bag
Compatibility: Polyester, Vinylester, Epoxy resins, and Ceramics.
🔹 Application Instructions
Mix your resin and catalyst/hardener thoroughly before adding fillers.
Gradually add Imifabi Talc until you reach the desired consistency (from a pourable liquid to a thick, spreadable paste).
For Large Fairing Jobs: Use a higher concentration of talc to create a non-sagging putty.
Apply with a large spreader or spatula.
Once fully cured, sand starting with medium grit sandpaper (P80-P120).
👉 Pro Tip: For large-scale boat hull leveling, mixing this talc with Glass Bubbles creates a “lightweight fairing compound” that is easy to sand but doesn’t add excessive weight to the vessel.
Shipyards: Bulk production of fairing compounds to level large hull surfaces.
Composite Manufacturing: Filling surface voids and cracks in fiberglass molds and parts.
Ceramics: Essential additive in glazes and clay bodies to control thermal expansion.
Industrial Molding: Reducing the cost of bulk resin systems by increasing volume with an inert mineral filler.
Industrial Bag: 25 kg
A professional-grade surface finish with a cost-effective, custom-made filler that offers superior workability and effortless sanding.
