Norester 6854 Vinylester Resina
Premium vinylester resin (20kg) for high-performance marine lamination and skin coats. Offering exceptional osmosis protection, superior mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance, it is the professional choice for hulls and structural reinforcements.
Norester 6854 Vinylester Resin by Nord Composites is a professional-grade vinylester resin specifically engineered for the marine industry and high-end composite applications.
Unlike standard resins, its vinylester chemical structure provides an impenetrable barrier against water absorption, making it the ideal solution for anti-osmosis skin coats and high-stress structural laminates. It combines the ease of use of polyester resins with the mechanical performance and durability typical of epoxy systems.
✔ Superior Osmosis Protection → Ideal for the first layers of lamination (skin coat) to prevent hull blistering.
✔ High Mechanical Strength → Exceptional toughness and resistance to fatigue and impact.
✔ Excellent Chemical Resistance → Durable even in aggressive marine or industrial environments.
✔ Thixotropic Formula → Optimized for vertical application without sagging or dripping.
✔ Easy Wetting → Rapidly saturates glass fibers, carbon fiber, or aramid fabrics.
Type: Vinylester resin
Format: 20 kg (Bucket)
Status: Thixotropic and pre-accelerated
Catalysis: MEKP (Liquid catalyst)
Application: High-performance lamination and skin coat
🔹 Catalyzation
Requires the addition of 2% catalyst.
➡ In hot climates (>25°C), reduce to 1.5% (do not drop below 1% to ensure full cure).
| Resin | Catalyst 2% |
| 1 kg | 20 g |
| 5 kg | 100 g |
